I know what you mean. I have 3500 on my Fatboy and it is still as big a thrill as the first day.

Hello, I have an '07 FLSTC (Heritage Classic), purchased in Aug '06 with over 16K miles. I switched to synthetic at 1K service also and have used Harley synthetic until 10K.
At 10K I switched to Amsoil and found a huge improvement, as far as heat is concerned. It reduced my running temperature over 20 degrees.
Living in south Louisiana, the heat from the engine on a hot summers day in stop and go traffic is almost unbearable. Almost... but I still have to ride.
Also, the dreaded 5th gear whine is almost non existant. I think the next tranny oil change I will stick with Amsoil Synthetic, but I will go to a heavier grade, which should improve on the noise or make it nonexistant.
Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Yep I agree, Amsoil is the way to go.
