I'm am looking at a 1999 HD night train. The air cleaner says 80 cubic inch but looking at the time line for harley's it says that in 1999 it went to 88 cubic inch engines. What am I looking at wrong?

eddieflyer - I have a '99 Softail, and used to get tripped up by the same problem when ordering parts, until I found out the real deal - In '99, all of the Dyna models came with the "new" TC-88 engines, but the Softails still had 80-inch Evo motors until 2000.

what a great sound the evo makes as you cruise down the highway. Great engine, put Harley back in the cruiser market.
